ERC CREM Launch
The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has launched the CREM Monitoring and Reporting System, as well as the Retail Electricity Supplier (RES) Scorecard Survey, in an effort to digitize the processes of the Competitive Retail Electricity Market (CREM). These tools will help ensure robust competition in the market and empower consumers to provide feedback, rate their suppliers, and make informed choices. The CREM monitoring system consolidates various processes, such as registration and renewal of RES licenses, receipt of compliance reports from RES and Distribution Utilities, and generation of reports and analytics. USAID provided assistance in developing the system. The launch was attended by officials and representatives from the Department of Energy, Philippine Electricity Market Corporation, the Retail Electricity Suppliers Association (RESA), contestable customers, and various other stakeholders.
Caven X Energy is proud to be the development and consulting partner of USAID and the ERC to develop both RES Scorecard and the CREM Monitoring and Reporting system.
